New Sketchbook 2010

Hey Everybody! Check it out! I just got my new sketchbook done last week for San Diego Comicon. I'll be selling them at the Red Eye Art booth July 21-25, 2010. Just $10 each. It's 32 pages of stuff from my sketchbooks, caricatures, life drawings, cartoons, and whatnot. Come and see me at the booth.

Here's sketch I just did at the Burbank Mall food court. Interesting people.

Life Drawing

We had a really good model named J.J. in my class last week. Here's a drawing.

Hellboy!

This is a collaboration between me and my buddy Marcelo Vignali. I saw his pencils if his version of Hellboy and thought it was fantastic, so I took it upon myself to ink and color it! hope you like it. You can see his phenomenal work at: www.vignalistudio.blogspot.com He just kicks my ass...

Sargent studies

Here are some studies of John Singer Sargent. I'm getting back into painting more, and I thought it would be good to study the master.

Life Drawing Class

Hi, Everyone! i just thought I'd let you know that I'm going to be teaching life drawing again after a four year absence. Life got pretty busy with the Simpsons Movie, and I didn't have time for classes ever since that time. I'll be teaching a quick sketch class at LA Academy of Figurative Art starting Tuesday, April 6th 2010, 7-10 pm. I'll also be demoing at the school's Open House this coming Saturday, March 20th from 1-3pm, so come by and say hello , and if you have any questions about the class, feel free to ask.

HellApe!

I've really been into drawing primates lately. I find them fascinating, so it struck me that Hellboy is pretty much a red ape. Here's my simian take on Hellboy.
