Weisman Museum Master studies
I was given the rare opportunity to study master American Illustrators at the incredible exhibit at the Weisman Museum at Pepperdine University. It's called " Illustrating Modern LIfe" and covers the very best of the Golden Age of Illustration. One of my life drawing students is the Professor of Art history at Pepperdine, and curator of the museum. He was extremely generous in inviting me and other artists to come into the gallery and paint from the masters. I had the greatest time EVER doing studies in watercolor and gouache. These are compositional studies of Dean Cornwell, N.C. Wyeth and Saul Tepper. You owe it to yourself to check out this show in its last week, ending on Sunday. Get down there!
