Man Thing vs. Swamp Thing

Here's a drawing done just for fun, pitting competing comic characters from different companies. Gotta love that drybrush!

Pirate

Last night we had a great model for life drawing. He dressed up as a pirate, and hit some awesome poses! The real trick was not to get caught up in too many of the details and lose sight of the whole attitude. This particular pose was actually drawn while he was taking a break and we all just kept drawing, unaware that he wasn't posing, but it had a good attitude to it so we asked him to hold it.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, life is just soooo busy. Here's a page of sketches I did last night at the studio of my friend and model Athena, who I've drawn for many years. She's one of the best. She also played "Snakebite" one of the Evil League of Evil's villains in Joss Whedon's " Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog" It's hilarious, check it out!

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to post stuff lately, but we're in the midst of renovating a new house and moving right now, and I'm crazy busy.
